Also further to my recent post regarding Captains day, A date has been set for the Saturday the 11th September. The day will consist of 9 holes in the morning and 18 in the afternoon. The morning round will be played as better ball pairs as chosen by our Captain. Whilst the afternoon 18 will be the usual stableford format. The four players contesting the club Championship playoff final will tee off first and then the knockout cup finalists will follow.
There will be another fixture added to after Captains day in which we would like to trial a stroke play competition for a change. If this proves a success it may be worth playing a final game in this format each year (your thoughts on this would be much appreciated).
Also i would just like to reiterate that if a player competing in the championship playoff final is unable to attend on the 11th Sept they will forfeit their place in the final without replacement. This has already happened twice and it would be unfair to change the rule. The knock-out final can be rescheduled if necessary.

Stroke Play is a good idea i was going to bring it up in the next meeting, cant we play at least 2 fixtures a season in stoke play and play 3/4 Handicap ? in the 2 fixtures,
Were is captains day, and are there any plans? eg overnight stay or coach?

Its saturday the 11th of September Jay, a week this Sat. Frodsham it is, i think its 9 holes in the morning with a bacon butty, soup and sandwiches. Then the 18 holes, an we get a 3 course meal afterwards. As far as i know people arent stayin over but its up2 yaself and were making our own way to it.
Oh yer i think its around £45-£50. Best ave a word with Ted/Ian or David.
