Two in a row for Ian!

Huyton and Prescott was the venue for our latest golf outing. A sunny afternoon started with a 2pm tee off..... if the putting green was anything to go by we were in for a treat. The course itself was littered with long par fours and numerous blind holes. This suited some yet frustrated others. However the one thing that did not split opinions was the quality of the greens. Without doubt the best we've played in this country...... maybe the best weve played.. period??

Trevor Griffiths carried on his good early season form with a solid 37 points. But yet again the usual suspects failed to deliver. Ian Pugh added 24 points to his front nine total of 17 carding 41 points, enough to win the day by four shots. Ians card included 12 pars and 2 birdies which earned him a gross score of 72 strokes and a shot dropped on his handicap. Earlier Ian took the longest drive whilst Trevor Grifiths took the nearest the pin on a green only he managed to hit.
Mally however was seen leaving the course on a mobility scooter.. apparently he had to get to Farm foods before they closed.

We have also arranged a meeting for Tuseday the 8th of June at the Skem Social club for 7.30pm.
