Derek on form!!

If you speak to Derek Bell (pictured left) he'd be the first to admit that over the past few years consistency has not been his strong point. But it seems Derek has turned a corner and with his second win this winter things seem to be on the up.
Derek totaled an impressive 40 points at the beacon on Sunday which was enough to guarantee him the win.
James Barwise tried his best to keep the pressure on, but failed to make a dent in Derek's relentless scoring.
With 22 points on a tough front nine he set a pace that his other competitors would fail to match. This See's Derek win his second competition of the winter league and in this type of form Spain can't come soon enough for the Yorkshire man.
Stevie Birrell won the twos comp with a nice approach and putt at the third hole after uncharacteristically failing to score on holes 1 & 2.
Full results are as follows:
Derek Bell 40 points, James Barwise 38 points, Ian pugh 37 points, Chris Hallam 37 points, Ste Sutton 36 points, Tony Southern 35 points, Martin Bell 34 points, Stevie Bristow 34 points, Leigh Robertson 34 points, David Bristow 32 points, Ted Pugh 30 points, Ste Birrell 29 points, Trevor Griffiths 25 points, Andy Bell 23 points, Mark Drummond 19 points, Liam woods 8 points.
