Ted steels it at the last!!

As the last of the morning frost melted from the 18th green at the beacon GC, Tony Southern was faced with a 25 foot putt to take the outright lead from Chris Hallam. As the ball left his putter face it tracked and was never going anywhere else. With a quick pump of the fist and a short (unrepeatable) message for the Ninos, Tony was sitting pretty with an impressive 35 points in difficult winter conditions.
However Ted Pugh, in the final group had other ideas and needed par at the par 5 last hole to secure a countback victory. As teds ball found the front of the green in three shots things started to look ominous. A long lag putt left Ted with 4 foot to steel the win from under Tony's nose. And as you might of guessed he dually obliged. Ted shot 35 points in a round which saw him score 17 points in the last 8 holes.
