Ian makes it two in a row

Haigh Hall was the venue for this weeks event, and on a sunny yet boggy day Ian Pugh claimed his second winter league win in as many competitions. Steve Birrell who played in Ian's group lead by one shot with four holes to play but failed to find another gear and fell away.

But for me the shot of the day came at the demanding par 5 fourth hole as James barwise came within inches of holing his 130 yard iron shot from the centre of the fairway, this left James with a tap in birdie and an impressive four points on his score card. The two's comp was won by Ted Pugh with an amazing 30 yard chip in on the par 3 third hole. The proposed date for our next game is the 11th of November, Today's full results are as follows: Ian Pugh 37 points, Ste Birrell 34 points, Paul Burton 33 points, Steve Bristow 32 points, Gary Bennett 31 points, Tony Southern 31 points, James Barwise 30 points, Leigh Robertson 31 points, Frank Reagan 29 points, Ted Pugh 27 points, David Btristow 23 points, Trevor Griffiths 19 points.
