Carmichael wins photo finish!!

Andy Carmichael came through on a windy Leasowe Links course witch proved to be a tough test at the best of times. Whilst holes with the wind behind became a breeze, holes against proved to be an uphill battle. Especially when the holes in question were narrow endless par 4's with strategically placed pott bunkers. However a lot of the golfers managed to overcome the elements and fight it out for first place. Four players would finish tied in top spot with 34 points. However Andy's battling back nine reaped him the reward of a count back victory. This is Andy's first win of the season and will be sure to push him up the players championship leader board. Steveie Birrell took nearest the pin with a fantastic wedge shot at the 146 yard par 3 12th whilst Glyn Jones took longest drive at the 17th. Please see the History/Results page for full results.
