David makes the most of poor turnout!

Captain David Bristow (pictured left with Frank) managed to take 36 points from a tough duxbury course in driving rain. Having only Frank, Stevie Birrell and Peter to contest didn't manage to put a dampener on a solid round of golf. Closest behind David was Frank Regan with 31 points... enough to see off stevie birrell 3&2 in the knockout cup. David also took the Two's comp and nearest the pin to boot.... I'm sure you'll agree a great round in such poor conditions.  The poor turnout was a real downside to the day with around eight golfers making late excuses or just not turning out. In the end this cost the society £108 in deposit money. Those who failed to attend will need to pay their £18 green fee's before our next fixture at frodsham as agreed at the last society meeting. Golf courses require 8 days notice for a cancelled tee time and in the future you NEED to let Ted know ASAP if you are not going to attend.
