Richie claims first win!

Since starting the 08/09 winter league as a new member Richie Jones (pictured right) has become a regular fixture at the society.
With a wobbly start to the Summer season Richie steadied the ship with a fantastic 40 points at knottend Golf Club. Not only was this enough to claim victory it also secured his place in the last four of the knock-out Cup with a 5 & 4 victory over Ian Pugh.
Richies round got off to a flyer with 22 points in his first 9 holes. The highlight coming at the par four 4th hole were par saw him collect 4 stableford points.
Apart from the par 3 14th were Richie failed to score his back nine was much of the same and very rarely did he falter. Richie will now play his next game hoping for more of the same.
The longest drive was claimed by Paul Burton whilst another newcomer Martin Bell took the nearest the pin honors.
