No false start for Sutty!

18 months ago Steve Sutton (pictured left) walked off the 18th at Brackenwood having made the winter league final and looked set to be a front runner in 2008.
However a sudden dip in form saw Steve struggle to find the kind of consistency that had served him so well through the winter months. Having taken some time out and a few lessons to steady the ship Steve took to Garstang GC for the opening day of the 09 summer season.

With an 18 strong field and not a cloud in the sky Steve accumulated 40 points on a long boggy course which was a tough test for most. The highlight of his round came at the par 4 (Stroke index 4) were Steve made par and 4 points to boot.
Ian Pugh won nearest the pin and longest drive just pipping Stevie Birrell who hit the green side bunker from the tee.
