Auntie Trevor romps home at Frodsham!

Trevor Griffiths (pictured left) claimed his first summer league Victory for the Phoenix today with a round to remember at Frodsham Hall. The 2009 Nino's Captain accumulated 37 points and collected 6 pars along the way.
The course was a new fixture this year and proved to be a real test with long par 4's and undulating greens that would be a tough test for even the best of Golfers.
This just made the Victory even more sweet for Trevor who putted exquisitely all day long.
However it could of been a different story had Trevor been injured on the 16th hole. After hitting a rare wayward iron shot Trevor's ball came to rest half way down a steep embankment. Cut a long story short Trevor slipped and slid down through the various nettles and brambles on his belly and came to rest in a heap at the bottom of the incline. Having found some dock leaves Trever was unharmed and went on to win by two shots!!!!!
The long disputed longest drive was eventually claimed by Gary Bennett whilst Chris took the nearest the pin with a great approach into the par 3 9th hole.
