Ellesmere port was the location for our latest fixture and not for the first time it looked like the weather might spoil the day. Yet on the third hole the clouds broke and the rain narrowly passed.This left near perfect conditions for Tony Southern (pictured left) to take centre stage and storm into an early lead shooting 29 points in his first 12 holes. After beating frank in the cup on the 12th tony never looked back accumulating 40 points along the way!
The highlight of Tony's round came at the par 3 12th hole which saw him make a birdie two, after a fantastic approach put him within 3 feet of the flag stick.
Mally Reagan took the nearest the pin with a great approach to the 158 yard 6th hole whist at the par 5 11th new member Andy Carmichael won the longest drive with an accurate tee shot down the narrowest of fairways.
