Last years trip to Carus Green saw gary Bennett end the challenge of Paul Burton with a dramatic birdie at the final hole to win by one stroke."One year later", Same hole, Same Course, Same dramatic birdie, and again Gary Bennett this time alongside Leigh Robertson sealed a fantastic comeback to win the winter league doubles trophy in its first year. The match in question was dominated for most of the round by there opponents Ted Pugh and Trevor Griffiths. But it wasn't to be for the pair as leigh and Gary went on to win four of the last five holes and take victory by one stroke. When asked for a comment an ever gracious Gary added "They folded like a chinese house!".
