After posting the best front nine score of the season at our last outing Steven Birrell failed to go on and claim victory. But after that setback Steve bounced strait back and claimed his first tournament win of the year at the challenging beacon park golf club last weekend. Steve had another great start shooting 23 points in the first 10 holes. and this time finished strongly to win by two clear shots on 38 points from Steve Bristow in second place on 36.
David Bristow claimed the nearest the pin with a great approach into the 114 yard ninth hole whilst Frank Reagan took the longest drive with a great tee-shot on thirteen.
For the first time this year the two's comp was shared with Paul Burton and Steve Birrell both claiming a birdie on the opening par 3 third hole.
